Brave Neighbor Coffeehouse & Social opened in January 2025 -- not just as a place to grab a cup of coffee, but as a neighborhood space for community gathering and local relationship-building.

With its unique location in the Mississippi Ave area of Portland, OR, it has seen great success in capturing organic patronage via foot traffic and the neighboring laundry service: Spin Laundry.

Their top business priorities are:

Objective

Brave Neighbor hired Purmort Communications to kickstart their first community event - Game Night - while they handled the hiring and training of new staff.

Marketing + Content Creation

Purmort communications took a multi-pronged approach to marketing, focusing on social media, physical flyers, and inviting local content creators to the event. Purmort Communications also covered design and content creation producing:

  • An Instagram Post and Story to promote Game Night on Brave Neighbor's Instagram

  • Physical flyers for patrons to grab in-store

  • An Instagram Reel pre-event, simulating game night (*top performing Reel at the time of campaign*)

  • A post-event Instagram Story highlighting the event
